The WR2 calipers have a non-symmetrical design to reduce mass and improve response.

World-renowned brake and clutch supplier, AP Racing, has launched its latest braking innovation on the opening day of SEMA 2024. Building on its market-leading Radi-CALTM technology, the new caliper has been designed specifically for electric vehicles (EVs).

The new Radi-CALTM e improves low drag efficiency while enhancing braking performance. The off-the-shelf product will be available as a 4 or 6 piston system, taking inspiration from AP Racing’s proven WR1, WR2, and Mono R ranges to offer the benefits of aluminum pistons and innovative noise abatement solutions.

Balancing aesthetic appeal with technical performance, the caliper is available in the range’s standard anti-corrosion advanced gloss black, red, silver, yellow, or white paint color options, as well as an exclusive green variation.

“Launching our brand new Radi-CALTM e range exclusively at SEMA was a fantastic way to showcase one of our latest product innovations,” said AP Racing’s managing director, David Hamblin. “With global EV registrations growing, we want to offer drivers with an off-the-shelf performance braking solution.”

The Radi-CALTM e will be available to order from January 2025.
