Vestel launches new range of own-brand EV chargers in Europe

Vestel are aiming to become Europe’s leading supplier of affordable EV charging solutions

Vestel, one of Europe’s largest OEM electric vehicle charging solutions manufacturers, is set to launch a range of EV chargers with the aim of establishing the brand as Europe’s leading supplier of affordable EV charging solutions. The Turkish manufacturing giant, best known for being the OEM partner behind 1 in every 3 TVs and display screens sold in Europe, has been designing, engineering, and producing EV charging solutions for household name brands for over five years, from small residential chargers to the largest commercial units.

With the European EV charging market set to grow exponentially over the next decade, Vestel is leveraging its manufacturing economies of scale to launch a range of its own brand charging solutions, set to significantly lower the cost of EVC installation. With the new products covering home users, commercial premises, and infrastructure hubs, Vestel’s capacity to produce over 700,000 EV chargers per year will underpin the move to become Europe’s leading supplier of affordable EV charging solutions.

“The EV charging market is poised to take off, with impending legislation fuelling massive growth in EV ownership across Europe, from private users to commercial vehicles and company fleets,” said Matthew Lang, Managing Director of Vestel UK. “The need for EV charging at home, at shops and offices, and as part of the national infrastructure is increasing each day, and manufacturers are struggling to keep up with demand even now. As one of Europe’s largest electronics manufacturers with over half a decade of experience in making EVC products for premium brands, Vestel has the expertise, capacity, and scale to become a leading brand for affordable EV charging across Europe.”

With manufacturing taking place at factories across Vestel City in Turkey, the new EV charging products and many of their components will be made in Europe. This reduces time to market, keeps the environmental footprint to a minimum and reduces transcontinental shipping costs and impact.
Alongside its own brand EV chargers launching in April, Vestel will continue to manufacture OEM charging solutions for premium electric vehicle brands, service station networks and electricity suppliers. Vestel’s new range of EV charging solutions will be unveiled at Fully Charged Live, Farnborough International Exhibitions Centre, 28-30 April 2023.
