The new EV charger line-up unveiled at The Smarter E Europe, Europe’s largest energy industry exhibition.

Humax, a mobility platform provider, has announced its entry into the global commercial EV charger market. This move follows the company’s recent launch of home EV chargers and builds on its experience as a charging point operator in South Korea.

The company unveiled its new product line at The Smarter E Europe 2024 in Munich, showcasing both commercial and home EV chargers. Humax’s commercial chargers are OCPP-certified and support two-channel simultaneous charging. They feature LCD touch screens and LED indicators for monitoring charging status.

Jeff Kim, president of Humax, stated, “Having successfully launched home EV chargers in Europe, Humax will enter the global commercial EV charger market with a diverse line-up of fast and slow chargers to provide electric vehicle users with a hassle-free driving experience anytime, anywhere.”

The company plans to supply commercial chargers to Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America. Humax reports it has already built and delivered over 18,000 EV chargers in the Korean market under its ‘Turu Charger’ brand.

In a related development, Humax announced a strategic partnership with HeyCharge, a German EV charging technology company. This collaboration aims to develop next-generation EV charging stations, focusing on urban multi-family homes and office buildings where reliable charging infrastructure has been lacking.

Humax’s expansion comes as global EV adoption rates continue to rise. The company is targeting various commercial environments, including public housing, highway charging stations, shopping malls, and offices. With this move, Humax aims to capitalize on the growing demand for EV charging solutions in multiple markets worldwide.
