At the annual Newspress Awards, held in Oxford, UK, Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology International has been named the Automotive Technology Publication of the Year.

The ceremony, which celebrates the achievements of the best in automotive journalism and PR, was attended by the industry’s biggest names and brightest stars with twenty-two winners of categories recognizing the likes of Best Automotive Feature Writer, Automotive Website, Automotive Business Publication, and more.

Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology International took home the honor of best automotive technology publication in a stand-out award. Judges commented that the magazine was an “excellent combination of technical detail presented in an easy-to-read style that is leading the way for new mobility”.

James Billington, editor of Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology International, commented: “I’m thrilled to take home such a prestigious award. This is a double-win for the publication. Firstly, it is a recognition of all the hard work that goes into making this excellent magazine, including the brilliant design, writers and team who work on it. Secondly, it is validation. Electric & Hybrid has been going for nearly 30 years, and for the magazine to have been writing about electric and hybrid powertrain technologies all those years ago was visionary, so it’s a real achievement to be up here winning an award today.”

“Our content is more relevant than ever, so I thank all the judges for their recognition, as well as all the support we’ve had over the years. We’ve begun the most exciting chapter of automotive technology development in recent history, and with the continued help of OEMs and suppliers, I’m proud that E&H will continue to be at the forefront of this mobility revolution through award-winning storytelling.”

Newspress’ Managing Director, Tim Barfoot, said: “Congratulations to all the winners and many thanks to our judging panel who had a tough job because the standard was extraordinarily high. We would also like to thank our sponsors who supported this fantastic event.”
