PSA creates new business unit dedicated to electric vehicles

PSA Group has announced the creation of the Low Emission Vehicles Business Unit, a new entity dedicated to the development of electric product offerings that cover the group’s entire range by 2025. The business unit will be responsible for defining and deploying the group’s electric vehicle strategy, and the introduction of associated products and services.

Defined as prioritizing profitable growth, and contribution to PSA Group’s CO2 objectives, the new business unit will be headed up by Alexandre Guignard, who has been appointed senior vice president. The business unit will report to Linda Jackson, CEO of Citroën.

“The energy transition is an opportunity that our company has seized by launching an unprecedented technological offensive made possible by out multi-energy platforms,” Jackson says. “The challenge for this business unit, which benefits from an experience built up over several years within the group, will be to provide the best vehicles at the best time to satisfy our customers and thereby ensure the best economic conditions for launching Groupe PSA’s electric vehicles into the market.”
