The Automobili Pininfarina Battista, the most powerful hypercar ever created in Italy, will feature advanced charging technologies including a portable EV charger, which will be supplied by CTEK of Sweden.

The battery charging solution company announced an exclusive supplier technology agreement with Automobili Pininfarina, the world’s first luxury electric vehicle brand.

The contract will see the Automobili Pininfarina Battista supplied with an Automobili Pininfarina-branded portable EV charger, as well as a high performance Mode 3 EV charging cable for Type 2 charging solutions. All supplied products will feature CTEK’s innovative charging technology that meets the high safety, reliability, and technological performance standards that this revolutionary EV demands.

With a power output listed at 1,900hp and a torque figure of 2,300nm, Battista accelerates from zero to 100km/h in less than two seconds – faster than a current generation Formula One car. It channels more than 90 years of iconic Italian heritage, combining exquisite design with luxurious sustainable materials and a sophisticated pure-electric powertrain which represents the pinnacle of performance EV technology.

Supplied as standard with the Battista, the Automobili Pininfarina branded charger is based around CTEK’s NJORD GO portable EV charger, which is simple to use, fully automatic and packed with in-built safety features, making it ideal for carefree EV charging at home or on the move.

Henk Lubberts, Global Director OE, CTEK said: “We are really excited to be supporting Automobili Pininfarina to develop this innovative charging solution for the world’s first pure-electric luxury hyper GT, the Battista. We are proud to add Automobili Pininfarina to the portfolio of global manufacturers that we work with, and this new collaboration bears testament to the quality of our charging solutions.”

Per Svantesson, Automobili Pininfarina CEO, said: “CTEK’s commitment to quality, safety, reliability and customer service give us great confidence in the technology we will now deliver to our clients.”
