Eaton has launched new EV charging models for the UK and Europe compatible with ChargePoint’s software platform, expanding options for customers integrating charging infrastructure into electrical systems.
The power management company is introducing the DC 30 and Duo chargers as part of its partnership with ChargePoint, which provides turnkey solutions covering electrical infrastructure, engineering services, chargers and management software. The collaboration aims to reduce costs and help customers manage site power requirements.
The DC 30 charger is designed for roadside, fleet and destination charging at locations including supermarkets. The unit meets the European Union’s Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation, offering payment methods that don’t require user registration. It includes bi-directional charging capability to support future vehicle-to-grid infrastructure. The Duo model can be mounted on walls, floors or ceilings for compact spaces such as driveways or garages where two vehicles charge simultaneously.
Both models feature dynamic load balancing to prevent capacity limits from being exceeded and comply with ISO15118 standards. The chargers include Environmental Product Declarations and can be maintained through remote software upgrades. Connection to Eaton’s remote monitoring platform enables issue resolution.
The chargers work indoors and outdoors and use standardized installation procedures across the product range. According to Eaton, installations are completed 25 percent faster than market standards for comparable chargers due to modular design that reduces external components. The company offers warranties and provides service support through local teams and partners.
The chargers form part of Eaton’s Buildings as a Grid strategy, which transforms buildings into energy hubs using on-site renewable generation. Charging infrastructure features in the company’s broader energy transition work across Europe.
Jean Miyeli, general manager of Energy Transition at Eaton, will discuss the ChargePoint partnership at the Reuters Energy Transition Europe 2025 conference in London on October 20-21. His keynote, Navigating the Energy Transition: Balancing Short-Term Crises with Long-Term Vision, will cover European projects involving renewable integration, grid modernization and energy management.
Eaton manufactures products for data center, utility, industrial, commercial, residential, aerospace and mobility markets. The company focuses on electrification and digitalization trends in its power management solutions.
