Omoda&Jaecoo celebrates anniversary with expanded EV lineup

The Super Hybrid System showcased on the all-new Omoda 7 SHS offers 745 miles of combined range and rapid charging abilities

Omoda&Jaecoo has unveiled its expanded lineup of New Energy Vehicles at the 21st Shanghai International Automobile Exhibition, marking the brand’s second anniversary since its global debut.

The automotive manufacturer showcased its Jaecoo 5 BEV and Omoda 7 SHS models at the event, representing the company’s complete global electric and hybrid vehicle portfolio. This presentation comes less than a year after the brand’s introduction to the UK market.

UK customers can expect deliveries of the Omoda 9 SHS in June 2025, while the Omoda 7 and Jaecoo 5 models are scheduled to arrive in August.

The brand’s Super Hybrid System (SHS) powertrain technology combines a 1.5TGDI dedicated hybrid engine with an advanced dedicated hybrid transmission. According to the company, this system delivers 44.5% thermal efficiency, 340-horsepower performance, and a comprehensive range of up to 1,200 km (745 miles).

The Jaecoo 7 SHS, which first featured this hybrid technology, has reportedly completed several long-distance tests in different regions, including a 1,613.1 km journey across Mexico’s high-altitude plateaus. In the UK, the vehicle traveled from Eastbourne to Scotland on a single tank of fuel, with nearly 2,000 units registered since its February 2025 launch.

The new Omoda 7 SHS debuting at the Shanghai show aims to achieve a 1,250 km (776 miles) range.

Omoda&Jaecoo has experienced rapid international expansion over the past two years, entering 42 countries and regions worldwide. The company has established more than 1,300 global showrooms and claims to have attracted 500,000 users globally, along with 7 million social media followers.

The Shanghai Auto Show presentation represents a significant milestone for the brand as it continues to accelerate its global New Energy Vehicle strategy throughout 2025, focusing on both electric and hybrid technologies to meet diverse market demands.
