New Toyota Corolla to offer two hybrid powertrain options

Toyota’s new Corolla Touring Sports, due to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, will see two brand new hybrid powertrains added to the engine line-up.

The new 1.8-liter and 2-liter hybrid powertrains will produce 123ps and 182ps respectively. The new engine options now mean the Corolla Touring Sports has only one conventional powertrain option – a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol.

The new Corolla features a MacPherson strut front suspension system, an all-new multilink rear suspension arrangement, new shock absorber valve technology and, for the first time, the availability of Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS).
