The Maxus eTerron 9 is a versatile all-wheel drive with high payload and towing capacity.

Maxus is set to introduce the eTerron 9, Europe’s first fully electric pickup truck with standard all-wheel drive, at the IAA Transportation event in Hanover on September 16th, 2024. This mid-size pickup marks the beginning of Maxus’s expansion in the European market, focusing on sustainable mobility.

The eTerron 9 features dual electric motors, producing a combined output of 325 kW/442 hp. It comes equipped with an All-Terrain System offering six preset driving modes and customizable settings for various driving conditions.

Powered by a 102 kWh high-voltage battery, the pickup boasts a range of up to 430 km (WLTP combined). The battery can be fast charged from 20 to 80 percent in approximately 40 minutes. The vehicle’s versatility is enhanced by its ‘Vehicle to Load’ function, allowing it to power external devices through multiple sockets, including a 6.6 kW connection.

Measuring 5.50 meters in length, the eTerron 9 offers a maximum payload of 620 kilograms and can tow up to 3.5 tons. The pickup bed can be extended to 2.40 meters by lowering the rear wall of the driver’s cab. Interior features include leather seating, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with ventilation and massage function, and front seats that can be converted into a sleeping area.

The eTerron 9 is built on a semi-monocoque body with a high proportion of ultra-high-strength steel, aiming for a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating. Standard safety features include an emergency braking system and lane departure warning. The pickup also comes with an air suspension system that can adjust the vehicle’s height based on speed and driving conditions.

Maxus plans to release more details about pricing and market launch dates for individual countries at a later time.
