At the IAA Transportation event in Hannover, Germany, Iveco Bus and ZF announced an enhanced collaboration to develop innovative e-mobility solutions for the passenger transport sector. This partnership aims to support the decarbonization of bus transportation and advance both companies’ electrification strategies.

The collaboration will focus on developing a new zero-emission architecture for Iveco Bus’ next generation of vehicles, leveraging ZF’s expertise in alternative energy propulsion systems, particularly electrification.

“This new partnership demonstrates our commitment to collaborating with innovative players who are driven to push the boundaries of technological innovation in support of the energy transition,” said Domenico Nucera, President of the Bus Business Unit at Iveco Group. He emphasized that electrification is crucial for achieving decarbonization objectives in the bus industry.

“This next step in our relationship with Iveco Bus focusing on our innovative e-mobility solutions underlines how our strategic investments in decarbonisation technologies are paying off,” said Prof. Dr. Peter Laier, Member of the ZF Board of Management. He expressed ZF’s honor in being chosen as a partner for developing e-mobility solutions and looked forward to delivering more sustainable passenger transport options.

The collaboration between Iveco Bus and ZF represents a significant step towards more environmentally friendly public transportation, combining their technological expertise to accelerate the transition to electric buses.
