The ID.7 GTX3 250-kW fastback with electric all-wheel drive powers to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds

Volkswagen has expanded its range of ID.7 models with the introduction of the ID.7 GTX3, a fastback offering 250 kW (340 PS) output and electric all-wheel drive. This model joins the ID.7 GTX Tourer, which was unveiled earlier this year. Additionally, Volkswagen is preparing to release the rear-wheel-drive ID.7 Pro S2 and ID.7 Tourer Pro S5, each developing a maximum output of 210 kW (286 PS). All four new versions are equipped with an 86-kWh battery.

The ID.7 GTX is currently Volkswagen’s most powerful electric vehicle, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds. It features electric dual-motor all-wheel drive, with motors on both front and rear axles, and offers a WLTP range of up to 595 km. The GTX’s battery can be charged at DC fast charging stations with up to 200 kW, enabling a 10 to 80 percent charge in just 26 minutes.

The ID.7 GTX stands out with its distinctive design and enhanced standard equipment. It features 20-inch Skagen alloy wheels, IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights, and unique daytime running lights. The interior includes heated seats with red stitching, a multifunction steering wheel with a red center panel, 30-color ambient lighting, wireless App-Connect, an augmented reality head-up display, the IDA voice assistant with integrated ChatGPT, a two-zone automatic air conditioner, and a keyless locking and starting system. Optional technologies include Park Assist Pro, which allows parking procedures to be controlled via smartphone.

The ID.7 GTX Tourer, similar in technology to the GTX fastback, offers a larger luggage compartment of up to 605 liters, compared to the fastback’s 532 liters. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and has a WLTP range of up to 585 km.

The new ID.7 Pro S and ID.7 Tourer Pro S models, equipped with an 86-kWh battery, offer extended ranges of up to 709 km for the fastback and 690 km for the Tourer. These models have longer ranges compared to previous ID.7 models equipped with a 77-kWh battery.

Volkswagen’s introduction of these new ID.7 variants underscores its commitment to expanding its electric vehicle lineup and offering a range of options to meet different customer needs.
