It’s been a decade since hybrid electrification technology was introduced to Formula One, this video from Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport talks through the timeline from 2009 to today’s use of the system in its race and road-going cars.

KERS (Kinectic Energy Recovery System) changed how Formula One engineers and drivers approached their jobs, but the technology also has had a direct impact on road-going cars.
