Stellantis Pro One showcased the Fiat Professional Tris electric three-wheeler at Brussels Motor Show for last-mile delivery. The compact vehicle offers 56-mile range, 500kg+ payload capacity, and charges 0-80% in 3.5 hours via standard plug, launching across Europe in 2026 starting with Italy.
Away from the many passenger car reveals at the Brussels Motor Show, Stellantis Pro One (the group’s global business unit dedicated to commercial vehicles) arrived in Belgium with sustainable solutions for professionals. Alongside the traditional models in the existing ranges from the likes of Peugeot, Citroën and Opel was a retro three-wheeled offering from Fiat Professional.
The Tris battery electric vehicle was an illustration of how businesses could meet the every-growing demand for last-mile delivery solutions in the most efficient and environmentally friendly way. Tris boasts a range of 56 miles, the ability to carry more than 500kg of payload and a cargo area of around 2.25m2. There are three different configurations available: chassis cab; flatbed and pickup, representing flexibility and a range of solutions to suit the specific operation.
Power accessibility has been highlighted as a priority for customers, so a USB-C port and a 12V socket has been integrated into the cabin to ensure that devices can be charged on the go. The lithium battery at the heart of the powertrain has a capacity of 6.9 kWh and provides a homologated range of 90km (56 miles) (WMTC). As the average professional driver undertaking last-mile delivery operations covers a smaller distance than the range suggested, it makes the Tris ideally suited to daily use, with the ability to charge overnight, ready to go again the next working day.
Stellantis has developed an integrated smart charging system for Tris, meaning it can be can be charged from zero to 80% in just 3.5 hours, using a standard domestic plug. A full recharge from flat can be completed in as little as four hours and 40 minutes with the same setup. In a further boost to efficiency, regenerative breaking comes as standard content, helping to maximise range and reduce energy consumption during everyday use.
Given the nature of the task for the vehicle and its size – Tris measures just 3.17m in length – a modest powertrain has been deployed in the three-wheeler. There’s a 48V electric motor that delivers 9kW and maximum torque of 45Nm, which combined enables a top speed of 45km/h (28mph).
Tris is scheduled for launch across Europe throughout 2026, with Italy – somewhat understandably – being the first destination to take delivery of the three-wheeler.
