Hyundai are calling the Inster a versatile electric city car with an outdoor-focused design

Hyundai Motor UK revealed pricing and specifications for its new Inster Cross, an adventure-oriented variant of the company’s first small electric SUV launched earlier this year.

The Inster Cross features unique exterior elements including bespoke 17-inch alloy wheels, distinct bumpers, and black body cladding. Standard equipment includes LED lighting, heated power-folding mirrors, and roof rails. The vehicle is powered by a 49kWh battery delivering 115PS and an estimated range of 223 miles on a single charge.

A battery heating system and heat pump come standard to optimize range and charging times, matching the equipment found in other Inster models.

Inside, the Cross variant offers reclining split rear seats, heated front seats and steering wheel, climate control, and an electric glass sunroof. An optional Tech Pack adds vehicle-to-load capability with an internal power outlet and Digital Key functionality.

The model includes comprehensive safety features such as blind spot collision avoidance, forward collision avoidance for multiple scenarios, highway drive assist, and parking collision avoidance. The interior technology package features dual 10.25-inch displays for instruments and infotainment, wireless phone charging, and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

Five exterior colors are available, including an exclusive Amazons Green Matte finish. The interior features a Cross-specific grey cloth upholstery with lime-yellow accents.

“With its distinct styling and segment-leading technology, Inster is already an exciting proposition,” said Ashley Andrew, President of Hyundai & Genesis UK. “The Inster Cross only furthers that versatility and appeal with its bold design and added features, and continues to showcase Hyundai’s position as an industry leader in electrification.”

The vehicle comes with Hyundai’s standard warranty package, including a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty, 8-year/100,000-mile high voltage battery warranty, and a 12-year anti-corrosion warranty. Additional coverage includes a 5-year annual health check, 3-year navigation update program, and roadside assistance.
