XING's Immersio battery solutions increases energy density by over 35% while reducing vehicle weight and maximizing range.

XING Mobility, a company specializing in immersion-cooled battery technology, debuted its range of battery solutions at the 2024 Mondial de l’Auto (Paris Motor Show). The company exhibited various products, including its new Immersio Cell-to-Chassis (CTC) battery prototype.

The showcase follows the recent launch of XING’s Paradigm Factory, described as the world’s first production line dedicated to immersion-cooled batteries. The Immersio CTC battery prototype integrates battery cells directly into the vehicle chassis to improve space utilization and range.

“Our innovations are addressing the urgent demand for safer, more efficient battery solutions across diverse markets, from commercial vehicles to passenger cars and energy storage systems,” said Royce YC Hong, Founder and CEO of XING Mobility. “With the grand opening of our Paradigm Factory in September, we have strengthened our position in the automotive supply chain. Immersio battery solutions, known for their extreme fire safety, are poised to redefine the EV industry by mitigating thermal runaway risks, even in the harshest conditions. We envision a future where safety and sustainability go hand in hand.”

The company emphasizes the fire safety features of its Immersio battery technology and in 2023, conducted a three-nail penetration safety test on its immersion-cooled battery, demonstrating the system’s ability to reduce punctured cell temperatures rapidly.
The Immersio CTC battery technology is presented as a solution for the growing EV market. According to the company, this technology increases energy density by over 35% while reducing vehicle weight and maximizing range.
