The E-5008 230 Long Range can charge from 20% to 80% in 27 minutes.

Peugeot has announced new long-range versions of its E-3008 and E-5008 electric SUVs, boasting industry-leading ranges of 700 km and 668 km respectively under the WLTP standard. These figures position the vehicles at the top of their class among electric SUVs.

The new models feature a 230 hp/170 kW powertrain and a high-capacity 96.9 kWh battery. This powertrain complements the existing 210 hp/157 kW version, which offers ranges of 527 km for the E-3008 and 502 km for the E-5008.

Peugeot says that the E-3008’s 700 km range allows for a journey from Paris to Nice with only two stops, compared to at least three for competitors. The vehicles also benefit from a new battery pre-conditioning system, optimizing charging times on long trips.

Both models are manufactured in Sochaux, France, with batteries produced at the ACC gigafactory in Douvrin. The vehicles are built on the STLA Medium ‘BEV-by-design’ platform, which accommodates a larger battery without compromising cabin or boot space.

The E-3008 Electric 230 Long Range can charge from 20% to 80% in 27 minutes using 160 kW superchargers, adding 150 km of range in 10 minutes. The E-5008 Electric 230 Long Range offers similar charging capabilities while providing seating for up to seven passengers, a unique offering in the electric SUV market.

Peugeot is backing these vehicles with its Allure Care program, which provides an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty covering the entire vehicle, including key electrical and mechanical components. The new long-range E-3008 will be showcased at the Peugeot stand during the 2024 Paris Motor Show, taking place from October 14-20 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
