ChangAn is one of the largest automotive groups in China with 40 years of automotive manufacturing experience

ChangAn, one of China’s leading car manufacturers, has officially launched its first vehicle in Europe, the all-electric ChangAn Deepal S07. The debut took place at a brand launch event in Mainz, Germany, marking a significant step in the company’s international expansion.

Designed in Torino, Italy, the Deepal S07 embodies European design preferences with sleek lines, a sporty silhouette, and striking LED light elements. The vehicle features signature narrow headlights with daytime running lights and a continuous LED strip at the rear, emphasizing its width. The aerodynamically optimized body includes integrated door handles and a rear spoiler. It measures 4,750mm in length, 1,930mm in width, and 1,625mm in height.

The Deepal S07 is powered by a 79.97 kWh lithium-ion battery, providing a range of up to 475 km (WLTP). Fast-charging capabilities allow the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in just 35 minutes. The electric motor delivers 217 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque, achieving 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. An AI-powered system continuously monitors battery performance to optimize safety and efficiency.

The SUV is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, supporting a responsive infotainment system centered around a 15.6-inch adjustable touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ensure seamless smartphone integration. A standout feature is the AR-HUD (Augmented Reality Head-Up Display), which projects key driving information directly onto the windshield. The vehicle also includes a 360-degree camera, intelligent gesture controls, and Level 2 autonomous driving functions such as adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist.

Inside, the Deepal S07 offers a spacious and luxurious cabin with high-quality materials. Electronically adjustable seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a panoramic sunroof enhance comfort. A rear touchscreen allows passengers to adjust climate settings and control sun blinds. The vehicle also boasts 28 storage compartments and a generous trunk space.

“With its elegant design and cutting-edge technology, the Deepal S07 is more than just an electric car,” said Leevon Tian, Deputy General Manager Europe, “It’s the perfect companion for those who value both driving enjoyment and modern mobility.”

The Deepal S07 will be available in Norway, Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands from the second quarter of 2025, with a UK launch set for June. The starting price is €45,000, and the vehicle has received a Euro NCAP 5-star safety rating.
