EV4 embodies Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy, blending sharp lines with bold, technical details

Kia Corporation has revealed its latest EV, the EV4, which will be available in both saloon and hatchback variants. The announcement comes ahead of the company’s second Kia EV Day event, scheduled for February 24, 2025, in Tarragona, Spain.

The EV4 represents an expansion of Kia’s electric vehicle lineup, featuring the brand’s signature ‘Tiger Face’ front end design with vertical headlamps and Star Map lighting elements. Both models will be equipped with 19-inch wheels and share similar front-end styling.

“The Kia EV4 is a clear reflection of our commitment to rethink mobility, and expand the boundaries of what design can achieve,” said Karim Habib, Executive Vice President and Head of Kia Global Design. “By offering both saloon and hatchback variants, we are bringing to our customers, the unique experience of modernity and practicality that defines the Kia EV family, in a way that suits their varied lifestyles and needs.”

The hatchback version features black vertical C-pillars and geometric patterns on its lower body sections. Its rear design includes wide-positioned taillights and a sloping rear window. The saloon variant adopts a more streamlined profile with a low bonnet and long-tail design, incorporating a two-piece rear spoiler.

A GT-Line version will also be available, featuring distinct wing-shaped front and rear bumpers and specialized triangular-motif wheels.

The EV4’s design follows Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ philosophy, which emphasizes contrasting elements throughout the vehicle’s exterior. Both models have been developed to suit urban driving and long-distance travel.

Further details about the EV4 and Kia’s expanded electrification strategy will be announced at the upcoming Kia EV Day event in Spain, where the vehicle will make its official debut.
