LEPAS has confirmed UK specification for the L6 EV, its first all-electric SUV, ahead of Q4 2026 order books. The C-segment SUV offers 279 miles of WLTP range from a 65kWh LFP battery, 120kW DC fast charging, and two trims (Essence and Elevate) with 22 ADAS functions and a 13.2-inch touchscreen as standard.
LEPAS has confirmed the full UK specification of the L6 EV, the brand’s first all-electric SUV, in an announcement made in London on August 27, 2026.
The C-segment SUV joins the flagship L8 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) as LEPAS expands its UK range. Order books for the L6 EV will open in early Q4 of 2026.
Both trim levels — Essence and Elevate — use a 65kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery paired with a front-mounted electric motor producing 160kW (217PS) and 275Nm of torque. LEPAS states this gives a 0-62mph time of 7.9 seconds, a top speed of 111mph and a range of 279 miles under Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) testing. A 120kW direct current (DC) charging capability takes the battery from 30-80 per cent in approximately 22 minutes.
The L6 EV is built on LEPAS’ LEX Platform, described by the company as a new-energy architecture built around intelligence, efficiency and safety. It uses a 12-in-1 electric drive system, with electric power steering and an electric brake booster fitted as standard. The car also uses Bosch’s IBP 2.0 braking technology, aimed at improving braking performance, energy recovery and pedal feel.
LEPAS says its European chassis team carried out dedicated development work to adapt the L6 EV for European roads.
The SUV measures 4,570mm long, 1,852mm wide (excluding mirrors) and 1,676mm high, on a 2,700mm wheelbase, with 159mm of ground clearance. Boot space is 410 litres, rising to 1,334 litres with the rear seats folded, plus 99 litres of underfloor storage.
Standard equipment across both trims includes 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, a 13.2-inch touchscreen, an 8.88-inch digital driver display, a 540-degree camera system and 22 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) functions, including autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control and blind spot detection. A Qualcomm 8155 processor runs the infotainment system, alongside a voice assistant LEPAS calls “Hello LEPAS.”
The Elevate trim adds heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats, a power tailgate, an eight-speaker Sony audio system, Nano-Aqua Ion air purification, and Advanced Parking Assist and Remote Parking Assist functions.
Both models include a 3.3kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function, allowing the battery to power external electrical equipment.
LEPAS is covering the L6 EV with a seven-year/100,000-mile vehicle warranty and an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty on the high-voltage battery, alongside a 12-year corrosion warranty and three-year paintwork warranty. RAC roadside assistance is included for 12 months and can be renewed annually for up to seven years if servicing is carried out at an authorized LEPAS center. The vehicle supports over-the-air (OTA) and firmware-over-the-air (FOTA) software updates.
LEPAS is a brand of Chinese manufacturer Chery Auto, operating in the UK as Chery International. It launched in the UK in summer 2026 with the L8 PHEV, with the L6 EV and a further model, the L4, to follow. LEPAS is targeting around 60 operational UK dealerships by the end of 2026.
