The three variants feature rapid charging and five-star safety ratings

MG Motor UK has launched the MGS6 EV, an all-electric SUV available in three variants featuring up to 329 miles of range, rapid charging capability and a five-star safety rating.

MG Motor UK has launched its new MGS6 EV this month, marking the brand’s eighth EV in the UK market. The all-electric SUV, powered by a 77 kWh battery, offers customers a choice between rear-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations whilst maintaining a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating.

The model line-up includes three variants designed to suit different requirements. Entry-level buyers can opt for the SE Long Range, which features a single 180 kW motor delivering a WLTP combined range of 329 miles. The Trophy Long Range matches this range and power output while adding premium entertainment and comfort features.

Performance enthusiasts may prefer the range-topping Trophy Dual Motor. Its all-wheel drive system produces 266 kW, enabling acceleration from 0-62 mph in just 5.1 seconds, while still achieving a respectable 301-mile range. All three models support rapid charging from 10 to 80 per cent in 38 minutes and include five drive modes with five regeneration settings, including a one-pedal driving option.

Built on MG’s Modular Scalable Platform – previously used in the MG4 EV –the MGS6 EV combines dynamic handling with a spacious interior. Standard equipment across the range includes a 10.25-inch driver display and 12.8-inch infotainment screen, while Trophy models benefit from a head-up display, heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof and an 11-speaker audio system. Interior trim options include grey or beige leather-effect seats with suede inserts.

David Allison, Head of Product and Planning for MG Motor UK, described the MGS6 EV as “a significant new offering from MG” that builds on the success of models like the MG4 EV hatchback. With over 100,000 electric vehicles already delivered to UK customers, the manufacturer aims to provide “a stylish SUV that stands apart from the crowd.”

The MGS6 EV joins the recently introduced MG IM6 SUV in expanding the brand’s EV portfolio.
