RHIVA, a new brand in the electric vehicle market, is set to introduce its ASM motor technology that it claims will set the new standard for sustainable, high-power electrified motor technology.

Formed of the thyssenkrupp competence center e-mobility (CCE), RHIVA AG represents the Rhine Valley Motor Company with headquarters located in Liechtenstein. RHIVA’s vision for its new ASM motor technology follows its e-drive components with a mission for a future driven with sustainable, electrified transportation.

RHIVA has identified five critical key requirements that need to be considered in order to gain mass market acceptance of electric mobility. These requirements are affordability, driving performance, charging performance, sustainability and recyclability / end of life usability.

As a result of this RHIVA developed a new motor technology with a 3 in1 magnet free induction motor (ASM) all electric drive unit with Inverter and a gearbox. This RHIVA sustainable ASM drive system will be available in different power classes and performs at a power density and which is today only found in PSM drive units equipped with expensive and difficult to recycle rare earth material magnets.
