Škoda begins series production of all-electric Peaq SUV in Czech Republic

Škoda starts building its all-electric Peaq SUV in Mladá Boleslav, on the same line as the Elroq, Enyaq and Octavia.

Škoda Auto has begun series production of the all-electric Peaq seven-seater at its Mladá Boleslav plant, built alongside the Elroq, Enyaq, and Octavia. The Peaq offers a 91 kWh battery with over 640 km range and has received almost 8,500 orders since its June 2026 launch.

Škoda Auto has started series production of the all-electric Peaq, a seven-seat sport utility vehicle (SUV), at its main plant in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic.

The Peaq is built on the same production line as the fully electric Elroq and Enyaq, plus the combustion-engine Octavia Combi. Škoda Auto says the shared line allows it to adjust production quickly in response to changing customer demand.

Since its market launch in June, the Peaq has attracted almost 8,500 orders as of the end of July.

In its top specification, the Peaq carries the largest traction battery Škoda has fitted to any of its vehicles: a 91 kWh gross capacity (86 kWh net) unit that the company says delivers a range of more than 640 km. A 63 kWh (59 kWh net) version is also available. Three power outputs are offered, from 150 kW to 220 kW, with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. Škoda Auto also manufactures the battery systems for the Peaq at its Mladá Boleslav plant.

Measuring 4.87 metres in length with a wheelbase of almost three metres, the Peaq is Škoda’s first model in the large SUV segment. It introduces flush door handles, a panoramic roof with Dynamic Shade Control, and bidirectional charging to the brand’s lineup. It shares the Modular Electric Drive Matrix (MEB) platform with the Enyaq and Elroq.

Accommodating the Peaq on the existing line required new, larger production skids to improve ergonomics and workplace safety, along with a new manipulator to fit the vehicle’s third row of seats. The press shop, body shop, and paint shop all underwent upgrades to maintain material flow through the process.

According to Andreas Dick, chief production officer at Škoda Auto: “The new Škoda Peaq represents the pinnacle of our range in terms of comfort, spaciousness and technology, while its production also meets the most stringent standards of quality, efficiency and flexibility. Producing four models – three of them fully electric – on a single line clearly demonstrates the skill and versatility of our team in Mladá Boleslav. Thanks to the tremendous dedication shown by all our colleagues in carrying out the necessary modifications, we are exceptionally well prepared for the production of our new flagship.”

The Peaq is the fourth model to join the Mladá Boleslav line, which was originally designed for combustion-engine vehicles. The Enyaq became the first electric vehicle produced there in 2020, followed by the Elroq in January 2025.

Since May 2026, the Octavia Combi has also been produced at Škoda’s Kvasiny plant alongside the Octavia liftback, a move the company says has freed up capacity at Mladá Boleslav for electric vehicle production. Fully electric models accounted for almost 23% of vehicles produced at Škoda’s Czech plants in the first half of 2026.

Alongside the Peaq, Škoda has also launched the Epiq, an entry-level urban crossover produced in Pamplona, Spain, under the Volkswagen Group’s Brand Group Core Electric Urban Car Family project. Together, the two models double Škoda’s electric vehicle portfolio for 2026.

Škoda ranked as the second-best-selling brand in Europe in the first half of 2026.
